Turning Point Interfaith Mission was started in 2000. Through the Permanent Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program, we assist up to 18 formerly homeless households in York County including families with children. This program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). We provide rental assistance and on-going supportive services to the individuals and families in this program.
Turning Point also owns and manages eight apartments in McSherrystown and New Oxford, providing households a stable housing environment as they work to regain and maintain self-sufficiency after a period of homelessness.
Turning Point also owns 47 units of affordable housing at Misty Ridge Terrace in Cumberland Township . These units are rented to households at or below 60% of the Area Median Income. Rents are kept below fair market rates, allowing working and disabled families access to safe and decent housing they can afford.
